Name of canon:Doctor Who
Canon point:Just after he and Amy jump off of the roof in the Angel's Take Manhattan
Is the canon point more than 6 months old in the US as far as you know?:yes
Completely optional history and personality section. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SKIP THIS!:History
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done:
1.He inadvertently saved Hitler. He was with the Doctor and Amy when the TARDIS saved him, by crashing into his office in 1938.
2.He killed Amy as an automaton of the silence, even though he tried so hard not to.
3. His jealousy of the relationship between the Doctor and Amy has often caused him to speak unkindly or out of turn towards the Doctor. In the Pandorica opens, he goes so far as to punch the Doctor because the Doctor said that Amy was not more important than the planet. Rory's whole universe is comprised of Amy and River so he strongly disagrees with the Doctor's opinion.
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done.:
4. Waited 2000 years for Amy to exit the Pandorica
5. He saved a younger Amy from an older Amy in an alternate timeline. Rory is devoted to Amy plain and simple. Any version or variation of Amy. He connected with Amy who was trapped alone for thirty-seven years. It could be considered an alternate timeline, but to Rory, none of that mattered. Amy is Amy in any universe.
6. He tenaciously fought the universe for both Amy and Melody (River). There is nothing that is more to Rory than his family. He would (and has) given his life for Amy. He can't imagine a world without her in it, so he makes sure it never will happen. This is seen in all the episodes that Rory was seen in. There is never a moment where Rory is not protecting or Saving Amy.
Please put the six things above on a timeline relevant to each other: The events listed above happen in a linear fashion, meaning that they happen one event at a time, instead of everything happening all at once.
Doctor Who, in general, is very timey-wimey so bear with me.
1. waited 2000 years outside of the Pandorica just so Amy wouldn't wake up alone. Even if Rory hadn't been erased from existence and all memory of him, except for the Doctor's erased along with it; I believe that Rory would have waited anyway, if there was any chance that Amy might need him, then Rory would put aside everything to be there for her.
2. One of the too many times that Rory was brought back to life, he came back as an autamon, or plastic man in The Big Bang, Rory was programmed to kill Amy, fighting it with every fiber of his being, but not being able to stop himself. His loss of his wife is still something that haunts Rory to this day.
3. Rory's insecurity in his relationship with Amy stems from the first time we meet him in the Eleventh hour. He is never completely sure of his standing in his wife's life, especially before they met the President of the United States in 1969, in Moon Day, he was explaining to the Doctor that no matter where Amy goes she trusts that he will find her. In the same episode, Rory figured out that Amy also thought of him as her one true love.
4. Rory saved Hitler when the TARDIS crashed into his office, even though he didn't mean to. Rory is quite befuddled during the whole interaction with Hitler.
The fifth and sixth things that happened in Rory's timeline revolve around protecting or saving Amy. In the girl who waited, Rory, in order to save the younger version of Amy, who was trapped in another timeline, had to leave an older version of his wife alone, after she was trapped for 37 years. Rory would burn the world for Amy, but having to leave her behind, was one of the hardest things he has ever had to do. The thread that ties everything together is Amy. Protecting, saving, and loving Amy is Rory's driving force, the reason that he has done everything that he has done.
Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good-aligned sidekick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil-aligned sidekick, a villain, or something else? Why?:
Rory floats between a hero and a well-aligned sidekick. He is what I would call an everyday hero. His actions may not be grandiose or extraordinary but he is essential to every situation that he is in. He provides a quiet confidence and guiding light to both the Doctor and Amy. He is the moral compass for both of them. It is a role that he plays unconsciously, but plays masterfully.
Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?:
Auradon. Rory doesn't have an evil bone in his body. He feels deeply and feels bad when he has to hurt something in order to survive.
Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?:
Auradon, please
Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?:
Always
Powers and Abilities:
Rory was a trained nurse. He knew medical procedures and how to examine bodies. He carried nursing supplies in his pockets in case someone was injured.
As he had been a Roman Centurion, he was accomplished at fighting with a sword. In two millennia guarding the Pandorica, Rory became a very skilled warrior. In the attack on Demons Run, he survived the battle with the Headless Monks. He also used a gun in this battle, shooting down Headless Monks from a distance and then wielding his sword when they got close. Rory could also knock the Doctor, Hitler, and the Teselecta to the ground with single blows to their jaws. He also demonstrated proficiency with a slingshot.
What clothing/items did your character arrive with? (See rules and FAQ for what is allowed, feel free to ask if you are unsure): The clothes on his back including the nursing supplies in his pockets. In Season 6, the Moon Day, it was explained that Rory carried basic nursing supplies with him at all times, just in case anyone was injured.
What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?):
I would love to see Rory as a confident man, playing to his strengths. His time with the Doctor, was more about Amy, and he didn't get to shine as much.
What else do you think the mods should know about your character or their canon?:
Rory is a complex character. There is definitely more to him than someone might see at first glance.
Any questions?:
None
